  1. Passport & Visa Requirement

First things first: make sure your passport has at least six months of validity left (from your arrival date). This is a strict rule in Indonesia, and airlines often won’t let you board if it doesn’t check out.

Depending on which country you are travelling from, you will require a visa for your holiday. Currently most travelers could use the B1 Visa on Arrival (VOA). Check here for the country list . and certain countries could enjoy visa-free entry for 30 days (like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and others).
For up to 30 days, VOA costs around IDR 500,000 (~USD 35) and can be extended onshore for another 30 days—for a total of 60.
You can pay via cash or card at the desk in the arrivals hall before you queue for immigration. They accept USD, EURO, SGD and other currencies as per the exchange rate at the airport, you will be given change in IDR
To save yourself some queuing time at the airport, you can even arrange this online before you travel. You can prepay VOA online here or quick scan through your phone here.

2. Bali Tourism Levy

Along with your visa, you’ll need to pay Bali’s Tourism Levy, which is IDR 150,000 (~USD 14) per person. The most efficient way to pay this levy is to do it online, Love Bali Website or Love Bali app, before your flight, and you’ll receive a QR code to show on arrival. While at the moment the levy isn’t always checked, it’s better to be prepared so you don’t face any surprises.

3. New Digital Arrival Form (Effective September 1st, 2025)

This is the newest change for travelers. As of September 1st, 2025, Indonesia has introduced a All Indonesia arrival form that replaces the paper customs and health cards once handed out on the plane. The form can be filled out online through the official website (https://allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id/) or by downloading the app, up to three days before your flight.

The process only takes a few minutes, and once you submit it, you’ll receive a QR code. Keep this handy, save it on your phone or print it out, because you’ll need to show it at immigration. If you forget, you may be asked to complete the form at the airport, which could slow you down. Since it’s brand new, we recommend doing it in advance so your arrival goes smoothly.

Touchdown Tips & Tricks

Touching down in Denpasar, things move quickly if you’re prepared. Travelers with an e-passport and prepaid visa can use the E-Gates to skip long queues. Families with kids and those without e-passports will have a separate, usually faster line.

If you’d like a little extra comfort, you can book a VIP arrival service. Porter will meet you after your flight, help with bags, guide you through immigration, and walk you out to your driver, no stress, no fuss. We recommend to negotiate the price beforehand.

Staying Connected & Getting to Your Hotel

Wi-Fi at the airport can be patchy, so setting up an eSIM before you travel is a great way to get connected straight away. You’ll be able to order a ride, message your hotel, or share that first Bali snap the moment you land.

When it comes to leaving the airport, many hotels arrange pickups, or having their private driver booked before hand. but if yours doesn’t, Grab / Gojek (a ride-hailing app) is the easiest option. There’s even a lounge outside the terminal where staff can help you find your driver.

Final Tips

A few quick reminders: you can only bring one liter of duty-free alcohol, carry-on liquids must be under 100 ml, and while vaccination proof isn’t needed anymore, travel insurance is highly recommended.

and finally Welcome to Bali

With the paperwork done and your ride sorted, step outside, breathe in the warm air, and let the island’s charm take over. Your Bali holiday has officially begun 💙
